Teachers Exchanges.

What a Teacher’s Exchange is:

Teacher’s Exchange is collaborative and collegiate. It is a forum for teachers and trainee teachers to share ideas and support each other. It is distinct from a Professional Development (PD) which is geared to the instruction of teachers in techniques of practise, tuition methods, etc.

A Teachers Exchange is open to all teachers and trainee teachers who are members of WAITA. We engage on various topics on a collaborative basis. We may have a presentation with a discussion after that or some other get-together to share ideas and provide each other with support. Here we formulate any ideas from teachers which we wish the WAITA committee to consider more formally.

Upcoming Teacher’s Exchange

Next Teacher’s exchange will be on Sunday the 19th April 2026 from 1-3pm at North Perth Yoga Room.

The focus is on Iyengar Yoga and supporting students living with cancer. Sharing experiences from some of our teachers who have worked, or currently work with cancer patients through their treatments.

Last Teacher’s Exchange

On the 08th February 2026, MYoga kindly hosted the WAITA Teachers Exchange at the North Fremantle studio.

Suzie Bruggman kindly showed us some of the support with yoga, she’s been giving a student having suffered a severe brain stroke.
